This year has a new meaning to all of us. Many of you will not be able celebrate your traditional Seder and enjoy having loved ones around the table. The table will be smaller, and Elijah will need to sit 6 feet away!
VIRTUAL SEDERS will be what many of you will get to share. So ‘Why does Maria’s make Passover meals?’ My answer is simple… It is because I celebrate Passover. I was raised by an Italian Catholic mother, I have a Jewish husband and my son attended Jewish day school until he celebrated his Bar Mitzvah. In our home, we celebrate all the important holidays with great food prepared with love… it’s that simple!
Because we understand that it may be a challenge to make a Seder plate, Maria’s decided to make it easy for you—Charoset, Egg, Parsley (Italian of course), Horseradish and a SHANK BONE, TOO!
I’ve experienced the difficulty in getting to a market and stores, and my own family will not be able to celebrate together. Maria’s wants to help make it easier for you.
My Grandma Celia taught me our Brisket recipe which is simmered for hours with onions and carrots. It’s moist and the gravy has just a hint of sweetness. I serve it with creamy mashed potatoes, too.
Our Chicken Famiglia is my all-time favorite comfort food. Roasted with herbs and smothered with onions, carrots, and potatoes (known as tzimmes). The flavor of the chicken mixed with the vegetables is so delicious.
My husband was a vegetarian for years and although Jewish, he does not like chopped liver. So we came up with a Vegetarian option, and it is amazingly similar to the taste of the real thing. A perfect vegetarian appetizer with Matzoh.
Included are fresh Assorted Vegetables and of course Matzah Kugel.
Last but not least, for desert, we include our HOME MADE coconut macaroons dipped in Callebaut Belgium chocolate. They are so light that you want to eat more so we packed 2 for each of you.
I wish you Good Health and a Happy Passover
With love from my family to yours,
