We received feedback regarding our LA Rams Playoff Game email. We appreciate you reaching out and sharing your feedback, and your passion and concern for our community is much appreciated; especially during such a challenging time.  As well, I would like to clarify the intent behind the message and provide some context for our efforts.

The wildfires have had a profound impact on all of us.  At Maria’s, we have been actively supporting our community and first responders throughout this tragedy by preparing and delivering meals—often quietly and without public acknowledgment—because we love and value our community, and it is the right thing to do. This has always been a core part of who we are, and it’s something I’m personally committed to continuing.

The email we sent was not intended as a marketing tactic to capitalize on tragedy. It was an effort to uplift spirits during a time when many of us are feeling overwhelmed. The mention of our local team, the Rams, was simply a nod to how sports can bring communities together and serve as a symbol of resilience and hope; especially since several of the Rams staff were personally affected by the fires.

I understand how it may have been perceived differently, and for that, I sincerely apologize. Your feedback has made me pause and reflect on how important it is to communicate our intentions more clearly.

Our focus remains on supporting those affected by the fires—our neighbors, friends, and family—and I appreciate your passion for holding businesses accountable. I hope this explanation provides some insight into our efforts and values.
